Issue

  • A FS corruption took place, which required running further recovery actions.
  • The FS was unmounted cleanly without using -l flag, i.e. without lazy unmount.
  • However, attempting to run repair operations on the FS returns "Device or resource busy".

    # xfs_repair /path/to/dev/device
    xfs_repair: cannot open /path/to/dev/device: Device or resource busy
