Assisted Installer based installation fails with proxy using special characters

Issue

  • Upon booting the discovery ISO, the agent service fails to pull the image from registry.redhat.io:

    podman[3302]: time="2024-05-14T16:24:01Z" level=warning msg="Failed, retrying in 1s ... (1/3). Error: initializing source docker://registry.redhat.io/rhai-tech-preview/assisted-installer-agent-rhel8:v1.0.0-312: pinging container registry registry.redhat.io: Get \"https://registry.redhat.io/v2/\": dial tcp xx.xx.xx.xx:443: connect: connection refused"
