Cockpit does not recognize settings in /etc/sudoers to allow access to all views

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Require to allow non-root accounts (with sudo privileges) to use cockpit with all views. However when a non-root user who has sudo privileges, the Cockpit screen shows:
Web console is running in limited access mode.
  • Clicking on the button Turn on administrative access, throws below error:
"Problem becoming Administrator Cockpit-bridge: recvmsg(stdin) failed: Socket operation on non-socket"

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8
  • Cockpit
  • Sudoers
