Cluster-wide configuration of masquerade network binding subnet for OpenShift Virtualization

Solution In Progress - Updated -

Issue

  • OpenShift Virtualization connects virtual machines to the Pod network through a NAT, where the IP of the VM is by default 10.0.2.2/24. This may be a problem in environments where 10.0.2.0/24 is already used for another service.

  • This subnet can be changed on VM object by setting vmNetworkCIDR. However, this breaks the UI flow.
