RHOCP 4 cluster upgrade blocked since TechPreviewNoUpgrade Feature Gate is enabled

Issue

  • Upgrade of the cluster to next minor version (the y in 4.y.z) of OpenShift 4 is blocked getting warning as below in the clusterversion resource:

            * Precondition "ClusterVersionUpgradeable" failed because of "FeatureGates_RestrictedFeatureGates_TechPreviewNoUpgrade": Cluster operator kube-apiserver should not be upgraded between minor versions: FeatureGatesUpgradeable: "TechPreviewNoUpgrade" does not allow updates
