SSSD: Error "krb5_child[1758711]: Pre-authentication failed: No pkinit_anchors supplied" is displayed after successful authentication.

Issue

  • krb5_child.log reports : "Pre-authentication failed: No pkinit_anchors supplied" errors every time when user authenticates. No issue reported with user authentication. User is able to authenticate without any issue however the logfile is filled with these errors every time.

  • In SSSD log file /var/log/sssd/krb5_child.log error is observed even after successful user authentication:
