Creating a Job from CronJob in Argo CD UI fails with error - cannot set blockOwnerDeletion

Issue

  • Following error is observed, when attempting to create a Job from a CronJob in ArgoCD UI
Unable to execute resource action: jobs.batch "hello-202402250648" is forbidden: cannot set blockOwnerDeletion if an ownerReference refers to a resource you can't set finalizers on: , <nil> 
  • Unable to start CronJob from ArgoCD UI and following error pops up:
Unable to execute resource action: jobs.batch "xxxxx-202402211944" is forbidden: cannot set blockOwnerDeletion if an ownerReference refers to a resource you can't set finalizers on: , <nil>
