After upgrading from RHEL7 to RHEL8 the inteface name changed from ens192 to eth0

Issue

  • After RHEL 7 to 8 upgrade network interface vanished and even if added , the interface naming convention coming with eth0 and after reboot also it gets changed and network not coming up

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8
  • WMWARE VM
