Elasticsearch jobs fail when expected log type index is missing in RHOCP 4

Issue

  • Cronjob elasticsearch-im-<type> continues to fail every time when <type> logs are not sent to logStore:

    $ oc get pods -n openshift-logging | grep -i elasticsearch-im
elasticsearch-im-app-xxxxx-xxxxx            0/1     Completed   0          2m24s
elasticsearch-im-audit-xxxxx-xxxxx          0/1     Error       0          2m24s
elasticsearch-im-infra-xxxxx-xxxxx          0/1     Completed   0          2m24s
