Network configuration of Linux VM is lost after migrating a VM from VMware to OpenShift Virtualization

Issue

  • We are migration VMs from VMware to OpenShift Virtualization using the Migration Toolkit for Virtualization (MTV).
  • If the VM had a static IP configured, the configuration is lost after the migration.

Environment

  • OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) 4.15
  • OpenShift Virtualization 4.15
  • Migration Toolkit for Virtualization (MTV) 2.5, 2.6,2.7.
  • VMs migrated from VMware
  • Linux VMs.
