APIcast log timestamps are not with millisecond precision

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • In the APIcast access log the timestamp is of the form ([13/Aug/2021:10:00:40 +0000]) . The time seems to be rounded to second values and yet the access log always prints +0000 instead of milliseconds.
  • How can timestamps be logged with millisecond precision for API calls that take milliseconds?
  • Is there a variable in the access log that can provide a timestamp with millisecond precision in human readable format?

Environment

  • Red Hat 3scale API Management 2.x
    • APIcast production gateway
