How to configure rsync as deamon on customised port

Issue

  • Unable to change the default port of rsync. Getting below error:-
Oct 23 07:59:40 test rsyncd[30559]: rsyncd version 3.1.3 starting, listening on port 6050
Oct 23 07:59:40 test rsyncd[30559]: bind() failed: Permission denied (address-family 2)
Oct 23 07:59:40 test rsyncd[30559]: bind() failed: Permission denied (address-family 10)
Oct 23 07:59:40 test rsyncd[30559]: unable to bind any inbound sockets on port 6050

  • rsync
  • rsync-daemon
