Instances creation is failing after updating to 16.2.5 in an ovs-dpdk enabled platform

Issue

After updating an (ovs-dpdk) 16.2.2 environment to 16.2.5:

  • instances creation is broken

  • openstack server show command reports:

    nova.exception.BuildAbortException: Build of instance {uuid} aborted: Failed to allocate the network(s), not rescheduling.

Environment

  • Red Hat Openstack Platform 16 (RHOSP) updated to 16.2.5 using OVS-DPDK
