  • Unexplainable error "Unable to find primary gid [2]: No such file or directory" observed in SSSD debug logs when SSSD performs lookup for an AD user but user lookup and authentication works fine.

  • Below is the error message observed in SSSD debug logs :

'(2023-07-09 3:55:28): [nss] [sss_nss_protocol_fill_initgr] (0x0080): CID#65037 Unable to find primary gid [2]: No such file or directory'.
