  • The following configuration is implemented in the Samba configuration file /etc/samba/smb.conf, for an environment using Samba Winbind and a single domain in Microsoft Active Directory.

    idmap config * : range = 1000000-19999999
idmap config * : rangesize = 1000000
idmap config * : backend = autorid
winbind use default domain = no
winbind offline logon = yes
