RHACS Sensor Delegated Image Scanning Failure - DeadlineExceeded

Issue

  • RHACS Secured Cluster with Scanner-slim installed and delegated image scanning enabled.

  • Delegated image scans executed by the Secured Cluster fail with the following error (from Sensor pod log):

    rpc error: code = DeadlineExceeded desc = context deadline exceeded

  • The following errors are also observed via the Secured Cluster's Scanner-slim pod logs:

    verifying Sensor certificate errors: [... x509: certificate signed by unknown authority]

http: TLS handshake error from <ip>:<port>: remote error: tls: bad certificate
