mod_auth_kerb package is not provided for Apache httpd in RHEL 8 onwards

Issue

• Is mod_auth_kerb module support dropped from RHEL 8 onwards?

• After upgrading to RHEL 8 from RHEL 7, Apache httpd server fails to start with this message:

  AH00526: Syntax error on line 416 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf:
  Invalid command 'KrbMethodNegotiate', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration
