Allow automatic node selection for deploying OpenShift Data Foundation using labels

Issue

When deploying OpenShift Data Foundation(aka ODF) using the Openshift console, we can select specific nodes and label them with cluster.ocs.openshift.io/openshift-storage= '', but if ODF is deployed using the command line interface(CLI), to label the nodes one has to do either of the following:

  • Create a custom machineset / modify existing machineset
  • Create kubernetes job with appropriate rbac to label the nodes
  • Manually label the nodes
