dnf distro-sync fails for undercloud after leapp-upgrade ( FFU RHOSP 13 to RHOSP 16.2

Issue

  • While executing the below command you will get some package conflict issues

    (undercloud) [stack@undercloud ~]$ sudo dnf distro-sync -y
    Updating Subscription Management repositories.
    Last metadata expiration check: 0:00:52 ago on Thu 22 Jun 2023 10:43:54 PM +08.
    Error:
     Problem 1: package leapp-0.15.0-1.el8_4.0.3.noarch requires python3-leapp = 0.15.0-1.el8_4.0.3, but none of the providers can be installed
      - package python2-leapp-0.15.1-1.el7_9.noarch conflicts with python3-leapp provided by python3-leapp-0.15.0-1.el8_4.0.3.noarch
      - package python3-leapp-0.15.0-1.el8_4.0.3.noarch conflicts with python2-leapp provided by python2-leapp-0.15.1-1.el7_9.noarch
      - cannot install the best update candidate for package leapp-0.15.1-1.el7_9.noarch
      - problem with installed package python2-leapp-0.15.1-1.el7_9.noarch
     Problem 2: package leapp-0.15.0-1.el8_4.0.3.noarch requires python3-leapp = 0.15.0-1.el8_4.0.3, but none of the providers can be installed
      - package python2-leapp-0.15.1-1.el7_9.noarch conflicts with python3-leapp provided by python3-leapp-0.15.0-1.el8_4.0.3.noarch
      - package python3-leapp-0.15.0-1.el8_4.0.3.noarch conflicts with python2-leapp provided by python2-leapp-0.15.1-1.el7_9.noarch
      - package leapp-upgrade-el7toel8-0.18.0-1.el7_9.noarch requires leapp, but none of the providers can be installed
      - package leapp-upgrade-el7toel8-0.18.0-1.el7_9.noarch requires python2-leapp, but none of the providers can be installed
      - leapp-0.15.1-1.el7_9.noarch does not belong to a distupgrade repository
      - problem with installed package leapp-upgrade-el7toel8-0.18.0-1.el7_9.noarch
