After changing IP addresses of external DNS servers, getting NXDOMAIN when google DNS is queried

Issue

  • We have re-ipped the DNS SLAVE servers in Singapore and no issues, but what we are seeing is in google PTR reverse lookup it does not resolve the IP (error: NXDOMAIN), but A record does NOT have issues & google resolves that.

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
  • bind (named)
