Unable to modify RHDS user password using ldappasswd : ldap_sasl_bind(SIMPLE): Can't contact LDAP server (-1)

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Self signed certificate in certification chain while using ldappasswd

  • TLS: can't connect: error:1416F086:SSL routines:tls_process_server_certificat e:certificate verify failed (self signed certificate in certificate chain)

# ldappasswd -D "cn=Directory Manager" -W -H ldaps://rhdsserver.example.com -x -S "uid=testuser,dc=example,dc=com"
New password:
Re-enter new password:
Enter LDAP Password:
ldap_sasl_bind(SIMPLE): Can't contact LDAP server (-1)
