"abort" in GFortran 11 from GCC toolset 11 does not work with "dwarf5"

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • A backtrace feature from abort(ABORT causes immediate termination of the program. On operating systems that support a core dump, ABORT will produce a core dump. It will also print a backtrace, unless -fno-backtrace is given.) in GFortran does not work when dwarf5 option is used.

Environment

  • gcc-toolset-11-gcc-gfortran-11.2.1-9.1.el8.aarch64
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8
