Pod stuck terminating due to Cluster Resource Override Operator

Issue

• In a project watched by Cluster Resource Override Operator, pods are stuck terminating.
• In a project watched by Cluster Resource Override Operator, trying to remove the finalizers of a pod throws an error about forbidden spec modification, even if no spec modification is tried (more details in "diagnostic steps" section).
