How to view the historical data of ResourceQuotas in Prometheus

Issue

  • How to view the metrics and the historical data of ResourceQuota in Prometheus?
  • The status fields in the ResourceQuota object are not showing up in Prometheus.

Resolution

  • Navigate to the OpenShift console under Observe and select Metric choose kube_resourcequota
  • Below is an example.

  1. Login to the Openshift console under Observe and select Metric as shown below.

  2. Under insert metric at cursor choose kube_resourcequota as shown below.

  3. Once selected the required information will be displayed as below.
