Getting deployment error when registering Oracle Driver in EAP 7

Issue

  • We are getting the following error when registering an oracle datasource driver in Jboss CLI.

    "WFLYJCA0117: null is not a valid javax.sql.DataSource implementation"

    • This happens running one of the following CLI commands

      /subsystem=datasources/jdbc-driver=oracle:add(driver-name=oracle,driver-module-name=com.oracle,driver-xa-datasource-class-name=oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleConnectionPoolDataSource)

      or

      /subsystem=datasources/jdbc-driver=oracle:add(driver-name=oracle, driver-module-name=com.oracle, driver-xa-datasource-class-name=oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver)
