'iostat' not reporting I/O statistics for some nvme disks

Issue

  • iostat not reporting I/O statistics for some nvme disks.
    iostats are being reported for Dell Express Flash NVMe P4800X whereas they are not for Dell Ent NVMe CM7 disk from Kioxia in the same system.

  • All the entries in iostat -tkx 1 are shown zero for some nvme disks.

    Following is seen from /proc/diskstats
