Why PODs use fuse-overlay fs storage driver in RHOCP4?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Worker nodes alert for SystemMemoryExceedsReservation.
  • fuse-overlay fs is not supported as the default storage driver.
  • The file /var/lib/containers/storage/overlay/.has-mount-program has a true value.
  • The node's mounts show the usage of the fuse-overlayfs storage driver for all the containers:
    • fuse-overlayfs on /var/lib/containers/storage/overlay/b0a9c6e6c63b69d0fe3defrkl666t3n741e2470164fc67f0193f77/merged type fuse.fuse-overlayfs (rw,nodev,noatime,user_id=0,group_id=0,default_permissions,allow_other)
