Adaptec ASR-8805 RAID adapter hangs when a CPU is set offline
Issue

When setting a CPU offline with:
echo 0 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpuX/onlineIO to the adapter freezes until the CPU is brought back online.

If the adapter is used for the root filesystem and the CPU remains offline long enough, then the filesystem will be either shutdown (if it is XFS) or remounted read-only (if it is ext4) and a reboot will be required to recover.

- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8 and 9
- Adaptec ASR-8805 RAID adapter
