How do I search for groups in a particular ou (Organizational Unit) with SSSD?

Issue

• There is an Organisational Unit referred to as an ou defined for every server
• For every server, there are different group(s), How do I seach for group(s) in a particular ou using SSSD?
• Why I'm able to see all the group(s) when searching for particular member of group?

• When searching for groups, sssd does not display the expected groups for a server.

  • Executing groups testuser returns the error:

    groups: cannot find name for group ID 3000
    

  • However, the id command shows:

    id testuser
    uid=4002(testuser) gid=3000 groups=3000
