Unable to login into Mirror Registry for Red Hat OpenShift with error "too many requests to registry"

Issue

  • When logging into Mirror Registry for Red Hat OpenShift, following error is seen on cmd:

    $ podman login -u admin -p xxxxxxxxxxx  https://10.5.x.x:8443 --tls-verify=false
Error: authenticating creds for "10.5.x.x:8443": too many requests to registry
