Creating Persistent volume fails with "Error: Datastore: [..] specified in the storage class is not accessible to all nodes"

Issue

  • When trying to create a new PersistentVolumeClaim, the volume stays in the "Pending" status and an event is generated with the following error message:

    failed to provision volume with StorageClass "csi-block-sc": rpc error: code = Internal desc = failed to create volume. Error: Datastore: ds:///vmfs/volumes/24b2c8f7-fa51-4ba6-b188-261219a0e08f/ specified in the storage class is not accessible to all nodes.
