Unable to start postgresql service on Red Hat Capsule 6

Issue

  • Postgresql service fails to start on Capsule 6 with below trace:

    Apr 18 12:40:18 capsule.example.com systemd[1]: postgresql.service: Main process exited, code=exited, status=1/FAILURE
Apr 18 12:40:18 capsule.example.com systemd[1]: postgresql.service: Killing process 3040948 (postmaster) with signal SIGKILL.
Apr 18 12:40:18 capsule.example.com systemd[1]: postgresql.service: Failed with result 'exit-code'.
Apr 18 12:40:18 capsule.example.com systemd[1]: Failed to start PostgreSQL database server.
