Is device-dax('Hotplug' persistent memory for use like normal RAM) feature available on RHEL 8?

Issue

  • Not able to use daxctl for hotplugging memory on RHEL 8.
  • Getting below errors while executing daxctl command on RHEL 8:
"daxctl reconfigure-device -m system-ram dax0.0 -u" under OS
libkmod: kmod_module_insert_module: could not find module by name='kmem'
libdaxctl: daxctl_insert_kmod_for_mode: dax0.0: insert failure: -2
error reconfiguring devices: No such file or directory
reconfigured 0 devices
