Fails to delete IdM replica: Replication topology in suffix 'domain' is disconnected

Issue

  • IdM replica has been uninstalled prior to deleting from the domain

  • When attempting to delete the stale IdM replica, below error is returned:

    # ipa server-del idm04.example.com
Removing idm04.example.com from replication topology, please wait...
ipa: ERROR: Server removal aborted:

Replication topology in suffix 'domain' is disconnected:
Topology does not allow server idm01.example.com to replicate with servers:
    idm03.example.com
    idm02.example.com
    idm04.example.com
