After failover former primary not able to register on new Master/primary

Issue

  • After the master HANA node reboot, the slave became the new master, however after rejoining the cluster, the former master was not able to start the HANA resource under cluster control

  • The server got a fenced or rebooted post that we saw in the pcs status command that the slave server is in the stopped state.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, 8, 9
  • SAP HANA Multi-tier Replication
