Issue

  • The system failed to boot with the error message Initramfs unpacking failed: Input was encoded with settings that are not supported by this XZ decoder followed by Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0).
  • This issue appeared after customizing the initramfs file and repacking it with xz compression.
