Why Interface gets the wrong custom name instead of the one mentioned in the interface configuration file under /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts?
Issue
- Unable to change custom NIC name.
- Interface name not changing after having expected NAME, and DEVICE parameters in ifcfg file for the NIC.
