[RHOCP 4] Mismatch seen in the MTU values when using the SRI-OV interface

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • The SRIOV VF interface is not getting the correct MTU value assigned.

  • The interface is not getting up and is not able to assign to a bond.

    ethx7: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 qdisc mq state DOWN mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000
    link/ether 52:54:00:02:01:07 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff

    # ip link set dev ethx7 up
RTNETLINK answers: Device or resource busy

    # /sbin/ifenslave bond2 ethx7
Master 'bond2', Slave 'ethx7': Error: Enslave failed
