Ansible-core conflict while upgrading to RHCS 5.x

Issue

  • Following the procedure to upgrade RHCS cluster trying to install cephadm-ansible conflicts with ansible.

    $ sudo dnf install cephadm-ansible
    Updating Subscription Management repositories.
    Last metadata expiration check: 1:45:27 ago on Tue 31 Jan 2023 05:39:14 AM CET.
    Error: 
    Problem: package cephadm-ansible-1.8.0-1.el8cp.noarch requires ansible >= 2.9, but none of the providers can be installed
    - package ansible-core-2.12.2-3.1.el8.x86_64 conflicts with ansible < 2.10.0 provided by ansible-2.9.0-2.el8.noarch
    - package ansible-core-2.12.2-3.1.el8.x86_64 conflicts with ansible < 2.10.0 provided by ansible-2.9.1-1.el8.noarch
