Time Machine settings in Quay are not honored

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Time machine settings are not honored and the tags are not promptly deleted from the registry.
  • Time machine expiration feature has been set to a few seconds but it's still possible to restore a tag after a deletion.
  • The time machine setting is set to a few seconds but several hours after deletion the tag is still in the tag history and it's recoverable.
  • DEFAULT_TAG_EXPIRATION parameter has been changed but is not honored.
  • Why aren't the tags get automatically deleted after the time is set in tag expiration parameter?
