kernel parameter "sched_energy_aware" can't be set in earlier than RHEL8.5

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • kernel.sched_energy_aware was introduced since RHEL8.2.0 as the Release Notes mentions.
  • However, the parameter can't be shown in sysctl -a and can't be set on the system which supports Energy Aware Scheduling(EAS).
