"Failed to start Application launched by gnome-session-binary" errors in "/var/log/messages" after fresh install RHEL 9 on UEFI boot

Issue

  • After the system boot with a fresh install, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.1 in UEFI boot "Logs" program lists several "Failed to start Application launched by gnome-session-binary" errors.

  • The below errors appear in logs after a fresh installation of RHEL 9.1 with UEFI boot:

        systemd[XXXX]: app-glib-xdg\x2duser\x2ddirs-3796.scope: Couldn't move process 3796 to requested cgroup 
        '/user.slice/user-0.slice/user@0.service/app.slice/app-glib-xdg\x2duser\x2ddirs-3796.scope': No such process
        systemd[XXXX]: app-glib-xdg\x2duser\x2ddirs-3796.scope: Failed to add PIDs to scope's control group: No such process
        systemd[XXXX]: app-glib-xdg\x2duser\x2ddirs-3796.scope: Failed with result 'resources'.
        systemd[XXXX]: Failed to start Application launched by gnome-session-binary.
