Soft lockup in twnotify_ioctl() routine

Issue

For one of the CPUs a soft lockup is reported. The twnotify_ioctl() routine tries to acquire a lock, but is unable to do so.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8
  • twnotify kernel module loaded
