Environment

  • Azure Red Hat Openshift ( ARO )

Issue

  • Is it possible have stable outbound IP for every new Loadbalancer in the firewall.
  • Can we configure platform.azure.outboundType on the existing cluster.

Resolution

  • OutboundType is an install-time option only, and it is not possible to configure or make changes in the strategy on the existing cluster.

  • On ARO cluster, it is not possible to have stable outbound IP while install-time as well.

  • An internal RFE is in progress to have the option to use a 'Public IP Prefix' such that LoadBalancers get their Public IP from a reserved IP subnet.
