Issue

  • After a Fast Forward Upgrade to 16 or 17, cinder-manage db purge fails with a foreign key constraint error on the services table.
  • Cinder db purge job in error state on RHOSO installation running after some months.

Environment

  • Red Hat OpenStack Platform (RHOSP) 16
  • Red Hat OpenStack Platform (RHOSP) 17 prior to 17.1.5
  • Fast forward upgrade (FFU) from RHOSP 13 to RHOSP 16.x
  • Red Hat Openstack Services on Openshift (RHOSO) 18 prior to version 18.0.18
  • Cinder volume service
