  • Cannot live migrate high performance virtual machine which has cpu passthrough enabled, between RHEL8.5 and RHEL8.6 kernel because of difference in 'rtm' and 'hle' cpu flags.
RHEL8.5 rtm=off and hle=on
RHEL8.6 rtm=off and hle=off

Environment

  • kernel-4.18.0-372.9.1.el8.x86_64.
  • Intel cpus.
