Bonding device down and link notification message flood

Issue

  • After the upgrade from RHEL 7.3 (kernel 3.10.0-514.26.2.el7.x86_64) to RHEL 7.9 (kernel 3.10.0-1160.76.1.el7.x86_64), the bonding configuration over two Mellanox cards isn't working and the console is flooded with the following message:
