Updated alert definitions may not fire in high-availabilty (HA) JBoss ON environment
Issue
- I installed JON and tried to set up events and alerts.
- Recovery alert is never triggered.
- Recovery alert does not re-enable alert it is to recover.
- Recovery alert based on availability change is not working
- Recovery alert was not fired
- Recovery alert does not always fire
- Updates to alert definition do not always take affect
Environment
- JBoss Operations Network (ON) 3.0, 3.0.1, 3.1.0, 3.1.1
- Two or more JBoss ON servers in high-availability (HA) configuration
- A resource with an alert definition defined
- The resource's alert definition is modified from a ON server different then the one the resource's agent is connected to
- Modifications could be:
- any changes made from the ON user-interface (UI)
- enabling or disabling of alert definitions by a recovery alert or other dampening configuration
- Modifications could be:
- The resource's alert definition is modified from a ON server different then the one the resource's agent is connected to
