Fuse 6.3 should support Zookeeper authentication and encryption
Issue
Zookeeper (ZK) is a key component of the Fuse 6 product line. At the time of writing, the Fuse 6.x product line has passed the end of its service life, and is no longer supported by Red Hat. However, it is still used on a few sites, and questions about its security are still raised.
As supplied, the ZK implementation does not support TLS encryption, authentication, or authorization. These omissions potentially represent a security weakness. Can this situation be remedied?
Environment
- Red Hat Fuse
- 6.3
Earlier versions are affected but, at the time of writing, they are completely unsupported.
