Worker nodes fail to provision due to missing nutanix-credentials Secret when deploying OpenShift Container Platform on Nutanix

Issue

  • During the installation of OpenShift Container Platform on Nutanix while using the IPI installation method the Worker nodes fail to provision due the missing nutanix-credentials secret in the openshift-machine-api namespace:

    Failed to check if machine exists: ocp4-nvcgf-worker-ds6cj: failed to create scope for machine: failed to get endpoint and/or credentials to access the Nutanix PC: Could not find the local credentials secret nutanix-credentials: Secret "nutanix-credentials" not found
